Welcome

Kitschy began on a summer afternoon when Rebecca and Lisa browsed through an estate sale. They bought a beautiful piece of furniture together and started a business that day! Antiqueing, Thrifting, Flea Markets...that's what they do! They search for one of a kind flea market finds, estate sale treasures, and garage sale fixer uppers. They do the rigorous leg work for you and put in the hours of elbow grease needed to refinish a piece of furniture. (They also pick up lots of fun trinkets, bric brac and artwork along the way!) They have a year round booth that is packed full of inventory at The Parker Shoppes. They also participate in the Paris Street Market May thru October where you are sure to find a one-of-a-kind piece no matter how big or small!

BIGGER IS BETTER

We moved our space at The Parker Shoppes to a much bigger and better spot.  Please stop in and see us!  Fall decor is already in stock!

Picasso had a "blue and black period" and this month Kitschy is in its "numbers period".  We went crazy with countless numbers this month as you can see!
These guys sold yesterday!   Horray for our new space!!!

We call this the "damn pram" because we have had it since our inception.  We can't figure out why noone wants to buy a stroller from the 1900's?  ha ha.  Surely there is a home for it out there somewhere?  Don't get me wrong, it is a super cool old piece.

It's May and that means A Paris Street Market again!  It's our second year and we are PSYCHED out of our minds.  Look how enthusiastic Megan Tice looks as she is helping us load up!
Emily Acker, where is that smile?

Bradley, Joe and Chipper Acker shoving everything in the Uhaul Friday night!
And reverse that!    Saturday morning at  6 am, my brother, Mike, and nephew, Tanner, show up to unload Kitschy for the show!   What would we do without our family?!!!

And away we go!  Rebecca is doing some last minute "staging"by the grey and yellow table!
Rebecca wondered why her foot hurt?  A staple stuck in her flip-flop.  Dangers everywhere.
And here is a bunch of photos of our pretty stuff...

You see the vintage wedding veils hanging from the mirror!   Sold them both!!

SOLD SIGNS!!  A beautiful site for Rebecca and I.  Our hard work paying off!

Rebecca fashioned up a new work station for us.  Isn't she great?
"SECURITY!!"  We had an elderly customer take a tumble over some of our furniture and security was called in to access the situation!  The latex gloves are for her bleeding head-poor dear!  (no law suit, thank heavens)
Here is the plant that she landed on!  Yeow.
Thought I would throw in our updated Parker Shoppes booth photos too.  You can visit the Kitschy booth year round at The Parker Shoppes!   Antique black armoire.

The "tangerine dream" desk...a one of a kind
Frames, frames and more frames.  We love frames.
Super cool, old file cabinet.  Very trendy.
Everybody needs at least one turquoise piece in their home!
We also love vintage suitcases!
